The ministry of men at Medford United Methodist Church (MUMC) is a core group of men, partnering with our pastors, to invite and initiate fellowship and spiritual growth opportunities for all men of the church. The focus is outward to all men, with an attitude of invitation, not expectation or obligation. UMM activities are aligned with mission and ministry goals of the church, and we continue to explore ways and opportunities to encourage more men to join us in our pursuit of these faith goals.

The UMM meet formally twice monthly, as follows:

  • On the 2nd Saturday (generally 8:00 - 9:15 am) there is a good breakfast and time for fellowship, followed by a brief business meeting and a program of interesting presentations
  • On the 4th Saturday (or other days to be determined) there is a study group lasting about an hour.

High on the list of priorities for the UMM is the sponsorship of several major fund raising "eating events" which help to support the youth programs of our church, or assist in the support of other church initiatives. These events have been blessed with good support from our church community during the program year, and we have been able to provide the financial support as planned.

In addition, the UMM serves various meals (Thanksgiving Breakfast; Easter Sunrise Breakfast and others) in direct support of our church community, its mission and its members. Also, the men support several outreach mission's (Habitat for Humanity and others) and various MUMC activities as they serve throughout the church.

We are blessed with many good men at Medford United Methodist church who graciously give of their time and energy to the many interests of the UMM and the church in general. We are also thankful for all of the great support from our Medford UMC community, and look forward to continuing to serve our church in many ways going forward.
