| Bell Choirs | Vocal Choirs | Praise Band |Bells have been ringing here at Medford Methodist Church for over 20 years. There are groups for all ages and levels of musical ability, and new members are welcome. A description of each group follows:
- Chime Choir: Children in grades 1-5 play choir chimes. They practice on Tuesdays from 4:30-5:15pm.
- Youth Handbell Choirs: Our youth practice on Thursday evenings. There are 2 choirs: Jr. Highs rehearse at 5:30pm and Sr. Highs rehearse at 6:30pm.
- Adult Handbell Choirs: We have two adult choirs. Celebration Ringers practice on Monday evenings and play during the 11:00 service. Jubilation Ringers practice on Tuesday evenings and play during the 8:15 service.
Each group usually plays for one Sunday service each month. Other special performances include a Christmas concert and participation in Choir Recognition Sunday in June.
Ringing in a choir provides an opportunity for service and for fellowship. Previous music-reading experience is helpful, but not necessary. Vocal choir participation runs from early September through June. We have choral groups for almost every age and all would welcome new singers anytime! Rehearsals are held in the choir room, near the office. Take a look at the current church calendar for rehearsal times. Brief choir descriptions are below. Choose the group (or groups!) which best fit you and your family members.
- Wesley Choir (adult, sings at 8:15 am services)
- Jr. Choir (grades 2-6)
- Youth Choir (grades 7-12)
- Garwood Choir (Adult, sings at 11:00 am service)
Come join us for the many opportunities to enjoy our church praise band. "No Excuses" leads worship several times each month during our Informal Service at 9:30 on Sundays as well as at some church activities.
