The Medford United Methodist Church Council has formed a Ministry Evaluation Task Force to review our current ministries, to assess whether or not they are meeting our church’s needs, and whether or not they are viable within our current finances, attendance, and number of volunteers. The task force will ultimately make recommendations on any changes or improvements needed for the future.
- Phase 1: Data Collection This will be completed by the end of January 2022. During this phase, church attendees will be asked to share their feelings and opinions of our current church programs, and what improvements they would like to see.
- Phase 2: Data Evaluation This will begin when the first phase is complete, and then recommendations will be made to council by June 2022. Recommendations will be discussed and voted on by the church council.
- Phase 3: Implementation Any changes will be put into place starting in the fall of 2022.
For this process to be successful, we need your input. It is our hope to hear from everyone who is or has in recent years been a part of our congregation, so that we can make informed decisions about the direction that we want the church to go. This survey is the beginning of that process, but we also hope to have focus groups and private interviews. Our goal is to make sure that all of our members and attendees have a say in the future of our church.
The survey itself takes 15-20 minutes. A majority of the questions are multiple choice. There are opportunities to provide extra comments on various questions. We are hoping you have time to share your thoughts. Unfortunately, once you start the survey, there is no way to save your progress and come back later. If you are limited in time for any one sitting, please consider downloading the PDF copy of the survey that you can complete at your leisure then submit at the church. DOWNLOAD SURVEY
The deadline to complete the survey is January 2nd. All members of a family who are 9th grade and above are invited to participate.
