7 Everyone should give whatever they have decided in their heart. They shouldn’t give with hesitation or because of pressure. God loves a cheerful giver. 8 God has the power to provide you with more than enough of every kind of grace. That way, you will have everything you need always and in everything to provide more than enough for every kind of good work.
Reflection
I have had several recent experiences that remind me of the deep power and strength that comes from being part of the Christian community. I have seen our church surround people who are attempting to get their lives back on track with love, prayer and practical support. I have seen us pray and encourage people through incredibly difficult decisions and situations. I have been blessed both as a giver and a recipient of grace through these interactions.
All of these gifts come from God. They are absolutely inexplicable on their own. It’s hard to imagine why people would be willing to share either of themselves or their resources so generously – except for this belief that God stands behind it all, ready to replenish all we relinquish in order to serve God’s purposes.
Paul says here that where God is concerned, there’s always more than enough. Do you believe it?

For Pondering & Prayer
When you have doubted that there would be enough, what’s been your experience? How has God provided for you along the way?
Sometimes God’s grace arrives through a person who steps into your life at exactly the right time. Who has been one of those people for you?
