It would be very difficult to work for peace if you are judging others for their actions and/or beliefs (convictions). Not just difficult but it seems utterly impossible. I am very familiar with rapidly changing communities and cultural diversity, but I am
also aware that not everyone welcomes change. Nor does everyone choose to welcome people of cultures other than their own. It is not easy to comprehend the traditions, the foods, the spiritual practices, etc. of a culture other than our own
The concept of “Reconciliation” gave me a new way of looking at the world. I committed to teach people to love others as God loves each of us. It is work that continues to be sorely needed within our world that seems to be divided in so many ways.

I am not a morning person. I do not like to get up early, nor do I like to talk to people in the morning. However, when I am at the beach, I am up at dawn (or before if I go to see sunrise). I like to walk on the beach and go to my favorite bagel shop when I am up and about.
When praying, do you at times find yourself at a loss for words? What can we say that is meaningful to God? What can we say to God that God does not already know or has not already heard?
Didja’ ever have one of those days? I surely have! When worry after worry seems to get piled on you… When one thing after another goes wrong… When one thing after another is added to the ‘to do” list… When you go to bed and cannot fall asleep because of things swirling through your brain… When those worries enter your dreams, and you cannot escape them even when you finally get to sleep.
In the end it’s about having faith in your actions and trusting that good things will come. The bad guy and his cronies always fail, and the hero gets to ride away into the sunset.
